We’re seeking self-motivated individuals with sharp analytical and math skills, clear communication, intellectual curiosity, and creative problem-solving ability, ideally with at least one passed actuarial exam. Reporting to the Chief Actuary, this role supports three core functions: loss reserving, pricing/ratemaking, and predictive analytics. It offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on profitability and growth while gaining broad exposure across the business.

This role follows a hybrid schedule, typically working 2–3 days per week in the Philadelphia office and remotely on other days. We also offer an actuarial student program with exam support.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze loss and loss adjustment expense reserves.
• Assist in the development of rate indications and evaluating price levels.
• Support the production of financial statements, premium forecasts, and budget loss ratio assumptions.
• Assess product and segment profitability.

• Gather data, analyze information, and make recommendations to solve business problems throughout the organization.

   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (required).
• 1–3 actuarial exams preferred; 0–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, R, or Python is a plus.
• Personable, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects.
